On the go: The National Local Government Pension Scheme Frameworks has appointed a series of companies to provide pensions administration and operational support services.
The framework is open to all LGPS funds, pools and administering authorities, and the wider public sector nationally, providing procurement of pensions-related services from a wide range of specialist qualified providers.
The National LGPS Frameworks has now launched its pensions administration operational support services framework, following a tender published last year.
For lot one, pensions administration operation services, including data interrogation and rectification, pensions administration project delivery, and temporary or ad-hoc general pensions administration, 10 companies have been appointed.
Specifically, Aon, Barnett Waddingham, Capita Pension Solutions, EQ Paymaster, Heywood Pension Technologies, Hymans Robertson, Independent Transition Management, Intellica, Isio and Mercer have all been selected for the framework.
For lot two, the provision of specialist pensions communications and engagement services, which includes the provision of specialist support to design, develop and deliver effective LGPS multi-channel communications and engagement strategies, 10 companies were also appointed.
Acuity Business Solutions, Aon, Barnett Waddingham, Capita Pension Solutions, Clay10 Creative, EQ Paymaster, Isio, Landscape, MakingGiants and Mercer were chosen for lot two.
Emma Mayall, assistant director for pensions administration at the £28.2bn Greater Manchester Pension Fund, said: “This new National LGPS Framework for pensions administration operational support services will be vital to LGPS pensions administrators who are looking to continue to provide the best service possible to their LGPS members.
“At a time when there are increasing demands on administration teams, and significant changes and new initiatives in the offing, being able to procure the support we need quickly and easily using this framework will prove invaluable.”
