On the go: Pensions risk and investment management specialist Cardano has agreed to acquire 100 per cent of workplace pension provider Now Pensions from Danish pension fund Arbejdsmarkedets Tillaegspension.
The acquisition is due to be completed later this year following the auto-enrolment provider’s authorisation by the Pensions Regulator as part of the watchdog’s ongoing mastertrust authorisation process.
Now Pensions expects to transfer its investment management mandate from Now Pensions Investments in Denmark to Cardano’s fund management team, subject to completion of due diligence by the trustee board.
This is Cardano’s second acquisition in the UK, following the acquisition of covenant advisory specialist Lincoln Pensions in 2016.
