cables, wires, technology, connection

More than 85% of in-scope pension records are now connected to the pensions dashboards system, with just five months to go until the statutory connection deadline.

The Pensions Dashboard Programme (PDP) announced last week that more than 70 million records were connected across the pensions industry.

The Money and Pensions Service, which oversees the PDP, has also confirmed that it expects the first dashboard to become available to the public during the 2027-28 financial year. Six months’ notice will be given before the ‘go live’ date.

Pension schemes and providers have until 31 October 2026 to connect to the dashboard’s central data system. The last few month-end deadlines apply to pension schemes with 100 to 249 members. Smaller schemes are not obliged to connect but can still opt in.

According to the PDP, the latest additions came from nearly 1,500 pension providers and schemes, “including the first four cohorts of medium-sized providers and schemes”.

Isio establishes dashboards team to help clients

Meanwhile, consultancy group and administration provider Isio has set up a dedicated dashboards team to help its clients prepare for the final deadlines and the launch of the MoneyHelper dashboard.

The firm said it had connected more than 100 pension schemes, covering over 150,000 members, to the dashboards system since its first client completed its connection in May last year.

“As the market moves into the next phase of dashboards readiness, having robust post-connection support in place will become increasingly important for schemes and members alike.”

Neil Campbell, Isio

Isio’s post-connection dashboards team, led by pensions dashboards programme director Neil Campbell, will “support ongoing operational activity and member queries” as well as continue to develop support services.

Campbell said: “The seamless integration of over 150,000 members reflects not just operational efficiency, but a shared commitment with our partner Equisoft to redefine retirement planning.

“As the market moves into the next phase of dashboards readiness, having robust post-connection support in place will become increasingly important for schemes and members alike.”

Kevin Howard, head of administration at Isio, added: “We have invested heavily in the operational infrastructure required to support members beyond connection, ensuring schemes can move into the next stage of dashboards delivery with confidence.”
