The latest hires, promotions and appointments for the week ending 24 April 2026.

Emma Douglas was confirmed as the new chair of the Pensions Regulator this week. She is currently wealth policy director at Aviva and chair of Pensions UK. She will take up her new role from 1 July.

Elsewhere, Northern LGPS, the Local Government Pension Scheme pool serving the Greater Manchester, Merseyside and West Yorkshire funds, has appointed Elisabeth Renshaw-Ames as chair and Paras Anand as its first chief executive.

XPS appoints new partners
Consultancy group XPS has appointed 12 new partners and promoted 171 people across the business.
The new partners are:
- James Chandler, head of pensions operations for Leeds and Manchester
- Deborah Churchward, head of pensions payroll
- Sophia Cosgrove, head of Member Connect
- Matthew Dodds, client project delivery lead for XPS Administration
- James Foster, head of XPS’s data analysis service Xray
- Ivet Frago-Plana, head of pension fund accounting
- Tom Froggett, head of DB run-on
- Charlotte Jones, head of pensions operations for Reading and London
- Sarah Rixon, group company secretary
- Melissa Stanford, who leads the risk settlement post‑transaction team
- Carol Watkins, head of legal operations
- Nicola Young, a scheme actuary
Ben Bramhall, co-CEO at XPS Group, said: “These promotions recognise the depth of talent across XPS and reflect our continued investment in developing our people. They also highlight the breadth of opportunity at XPS as we continued to grow across the pensions and insurance markets.”
Promotions at Trafalgar House
Administration provider Trafalgar House also announced a number of promotions across its business this week, including several people rising to senior pensions associate.
There have also been several roles changed and new positions created, which the company said reflected “evolving client needs”. In addition, three apprentices have been appointed to permanent roles.
