The latest hires, promotions and appointments for the week ending 12 December 2025.

Muse Advisory has hired Susan Sinclair from Hymans Robertson as it seeks to boost its administration consulting service.
Sinclair worked at Hymans for more than 10 years, latterly as third-party administration commercial and business development lead. She was previously scheme secretary for Aviva’s pension funds, and has also worked at Deloitte and Watson Wyatt (now WTW).
In a press release, Muse said Sinclair was joining at “a pivotal time when administrators especially are under pressure to deliver improved client service in a hugely challenging period”.
Jo Fellowes, director at Muse Advisory, added that the hire was a response to growing demand for administration review services.
“This has never been more important, given the pace of change in our industry,” Fellowes continued. “Pensions administration in particular is in sharp focus with providers having to deliver project work as well as deal with the day-to-day, respond to emerging challenges such as cyber-risk, adapt fast to inheritance tax and other fiscal and regulatory change – as well as take advantage of opportunities to increase member engagement from dashboards, AI and other technology innovation.”
Fitzgerald takes CIO role at Lloyds, Scottish Widows

Lloyds Banking Group has appointed Aviva’s Peter Fitzgerald as chief investment officer, responsible for investment strategy and fund management at Scottish Widows as well as Schroders Personal Wealth.
He succeeds Kevin Doran, who will leave Lloyds early next year, the company said in a statement.
Fitzgerald was Aviva Investors’ CIO for multi-asset and macro, where he oversaw a global team managing over £100bn in assets. He has also previously held senior roles at BNP Paribas Wealth Management and Insinger de Beaufort.
Chirantan Barua, chief executive officer of Scottish Widows and for Lloyds’ insurance, pensions and investments business, said Fitzgerald’s “expertise in multi-asset investing and proven leadership will help us deliver even greater value for our customers across Scottish Widows and Schroders Personal Wealth”.
Lloyds took over Schroders’ stake in Schroders Personal Wealth earlier this year. It was previously run as a joint venture between the two companies.

Global pension professionals network the International Centre for Pension Management (ICPM) has boosted its senior team with the appointment of Adrian Trollor as managing director, a newly created role.
Trollor joins from New South Wales Treasury Corporation in Australia, where he was head of portfolio delivery, responsible for the majority of the institution’s investment portfolio.
Sebastien Betermier, ICPM’s executive director, said: “Adrian will support various ICPM initiatives and operations to strengthen organisational resiliency. He will also play an anchoring role in the Asia-Pacific region to further grow our global offerings and ensure coverage of all time zones.”
ICPM’s board is chaired by Pension Protection Fund CEO Michelle Ostermann, while Mel Duffield of the Universities Superannuation Scheme is also a board member.
