The Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) is advertising for a planning and campaign manager who will play a “pivotal role” in the promotion of pensions dashboards to the public.

The position was posted on the organisation’s website earlier this month and the closing date for applications is 1 September.

The job advert states that the successful applicant will “play a pivotal role in launching and promoting the MoneyHelper Pensions Dashboard – a groundbreaking service set to transform how people view and manage their pensions”.

It continues: “This exciting opportunity allows you to make a meaningful impact by integrating innovative marketing strategies and enhancing communication across multiple channels.”

Responsibilities will include developing a strategic communications plan for the MoneyHelper dashboard’s beta launch and the planning of promotional campaigns.

The £60,000-a-year position is for a 20-month fixed-term contract, potentially lasting until mid-2027.

Testing of the MoneyHelper Pensions Dashboard has already begun and is due to last until the middle of next year.

The Pensions Dashboards Programme, the entity within MaPS responsible for developing the digital infrastructure for the dashboards system, recently announced that more than 40 million accounts had been connected – more than half of all workplace and private pension accounts in scope of the project.

Data from the Pensions Regulator has shown that at least 80% of pension schemes are on track to connect to the dashboard system’s “central digital architecture” by their deadline, as set out by the Department for Work and Pensions last year.

However, the regulator has also warned of a “data debt” as many pension schemes have underinvested in this area.

The end of this month is the connection deadline for all private sector pension schemes with between 2,500 and 4,999 members. All those with 1,500 to 2,499 members have until the end of September to connect.
