Saul (the Superannuation Arrangements of the University of London) has become a client of Legal & General Investment Management’s liability-driven investment operation.

The appointment follows within a year of Redington – advocates of LDI – taking over as the Saul’s investment consultants.

The deal gives LGIM 172 clients, both bespoke and pooled in this space and the oversight of £170bn of assets.

Penny Green, chief executive at Saul, said: “The long-standing relationship with LGIM, and the consistently high quality of all aspects of their service delivery to us were key factors in our decision to appoint them. The quality of support from LDI team maintains the high standards we have come to expect.” dr
