Specialist defined benefit consultant Grove Pensions Solutions has appointed industry veteran Steve Delo as chair of its governance and risk management committee.

Delo is also chief executive of independent trustee company PAN Governance, and is a former chairman of the Pensions Management Institute.

Ken Tymms, corporate pensions manager at Grove Pensions, described the committee as a “powerhouse”, adding that Delo’s appointment was “a good match to our ethos”.

Delo added: “A governance committee that sits between the advisers, providers and pension manager can ensure best practice as far as possible.”
